Actually, I've noticed a few the of JP exclusives from Paramount has got English dubs.

It's all coming soon in the following updates. Still getting the different cuts in place.

Nice work, man. I do hope that at least some of his most popular films will make it in uncut editions in true HD for English-friendly releases.

Alright, biiig update!

Now I only need a few spanish releases and the list is done, including all cuts available.

After that I mark upscales and finally I'll notify if a foreign release (non-US release) is English-friendly = either dubs or subs.

I'm waiting patiently for some of his mid-90's stuff, hopefully in the unbutchered version. Especially First Strike, Who Am I, Mr. Nice Guy and Gorgeous!

I also used to have the Danish and English releases of Forbidden Kingdom, German releases of Shanghai Noon and Knights, US release of Little Big Soldier and UK release of the Myth.

Wonderful initiative.

Swedish/finnish/norwegian blu-ray of The Protector coming out August 21st, includes JC Cut in SD so it's probably a port of the US disc. Which would indicate that it's an upscale as well. Will report back on English-friendliness as soon as I know.

Yea, I'm buying it myself, because I'm very curious and surprised about this release. Almost no JC movies from the 80's are released here and The Protector was never released on DVD in the past!

You should list which blurays have ORIGINAL mono/stereo audio.

It's too bad most of these titles (I'm talking the HK & most of the Japanese imports)
do not have original audio and are really not worth picking up.

But it would be nice to know which ones do have it... just a suggestion

I hope that I one day can do mark original audio, but right now it's not possible :/ But first of all, I am going to mark any English-friendly title.

One thing worth noting about the Japanese releases is the fact that Wheels on Meals, Amour of God contain the original English dubs that were used for the UK VHS tapes!
Also they contain some rare edits (Japanese Laserdisc) as special features!

These (and THUNDERBOLT and DRUNKEN MASTER II) are all owned by WB, who've been catastrophically poor caretakers of their large library of Hong Kong titles acquired from Golden Harvest in 1999. Miramax's license to DRUNKEN MASTER II precedes Warner Bros. ownership.
