Question Anyone ever risk injury while saving his/her steelbook from hazard?

Say from being crushed and dented from falling free weights, or a spilled paint, or dropped in the toilet bowl... get the picture. Please share your experienes about any certain hazards your steelbook was ever close to. And any minor injuries you incurred while doing so. Kudos all!

Am I dreaming or did someone actually created this thread?

We're talking about collectible items; not newborn babies.

I had a live power line fall on a Steelbook once. Had to wait for an emergency team before I could recover it.

Why is it called Steelbook when it's made out of plastic?

Q: If the Louvre caught fire and you could only save one painting what would it be?

A: The one next to the door.

Apart from rescuing them from the Postman, I've more or less avoided life-and-death situation with my Steelbooks.

My biggest regret? I've been unable to save a few from the notorious Spine-Slasher™ he's a shifty bastard who does his deeds all of the globe...

So there I was, walking home from the local store with a Steelbook in hand, and some guy jumps out at me with a knife. He demands my copy of 10,000 BC, the UK Steelbook from HMV. Having just acquired this fine film, I had no intention of giving it up to this punk. When I indignantly refuse, he lunges with the knife. I could have deflected the knife with the Steelbook, but I dared not get the beautiful artwork scratched. So I took a mortal knife wound to the knee, all to save my precious copy of 10,000 BC. Thank goodness, it's all better now.
