Is this a lot better than the first season which i found to be pretty uninvolving/ boring.

While I really enjoyed the first season, I LOVED this season. The aesthetics and atmosphere were perfect, as was the majority of the characters and story lines. Will be a first day purchase for me - can't wait till October!

They had to cut Season 1 in the UK as the offending section discussed how to commit suicide, by I believe wrist slashing. It is illegal to include this on home formats in the UK as worried someone will copy. What is rubbish is they can show on TV uncut with no restriction it is just illegal to show uncut on film, DVD/BD and Netflix type streaming.

There's nothing to cut in season 2 (and as malcy30 says, season 1 had the audio "potentially harmful dialogue" trim because it's illegal to pass it as per the Video Recordings Act).

i am glad to hear that season 2 would likely be uncut
but why even cut season 1 when its already got a restricted age rating of 18 years old

how does the scene play out in the cut version is there just silence even when he moves his lips?

No, the scene is edited. The part where he stands at the door and says cut vertically is missing, it just cuts to him saying you should try locking the door.

It's as Sithlord says the cut vertically which is the problem as you are more likely to die that ways, hence illegal to say or depict it. They don't want people who are suicidally minded to copy !!!! Most people in real life and on film cut horizontally across the wrist which is easier to staunch the bleeding and you are less likely to die.

It is a criminal offence to show on film and DVD in the UK as those are legislated here, TV is not in the same way so can show it Stupid difference but how the law works in the UK. A classic example of this is the mouse dunking in liquid scene from The Abyss. No on film and DVD but C4 can show on TV.
