I think 'Bama will win by at least 10. Manziel is not going to have anywhere near the year he had last year. Defenses will learn how to contain his playing style and way too many off the field distractions for him.

Based on what? Only if 'Bama's offense puts up some points, they will be explosive, because their D has no chance of stopping A&M. They couldn't last year and that was at 'Bama. This year the go to College Station and that will be a little different for 'Bama to actually play someone on the road.

Alabama has been wanting another crack at them for a long time now. Never ever underestimate Saban's desire to win. Manziel can't even handle himself off the field let alone on it. Alabama will beat A&M.

Saban wants to get rid of the up tempo offense ecause he has no clue of how to stop it. It was probably him that came up with autograph gate. He's scared of A&M because he ant stop them.

Deadspin has an interesting look at Manziel's family fortune and suggests that only one member of the family, his grandfather's brother, has access to the money. Johnny's dad apparently works at a car dealership 3 hours from home and only visits home on the weekends.

Yeah, it's pretty clear he accepted money for his autographs. I just don't know if there is going to be a paper trail to follow. Cam Newton got away with it, maybe Johnny Football will too.

Noone signs 4400 Autographs for free guys lol, Knowing and proving are 2 very different things. Johnny is going to play because they cannot prove he accepted money. Then again the NCAA pimps these kids out like *****s and no one seems to care about how wrong that is. So if he did get the cash and dont get caught good for him.

In all, OTL claims Manziel did six signings for three brokers in three states in less than a month, signing his name to various pieces of memorabilia a whopping 4,400 times.

Like all previous reports, there is no evidence of money being exchanged between Manziel and a broker. In fact, OTL’s latest piece never mentions Manziel receiving payments for the two newly reported sessions, in which he allegedly signed around 1,500 pieces of memorabilia per session.

But while trying to pin down a money trail remains an important part of investigating Manziel, it’s possible the redshirt sophomore could face consequences for violating another NCAA bylaw: 12.5.2.2, which requires a student-athlete to make every effort to stop the sale of products featuring his or her likeness. It may be a laughable rule, but it’s a rule nonetheless. Signing over 4,000 autographs in a month (or a even a modest 1,500 autographs) for multiple brokers (allegedly) would imply Manziel had absolutely no intention of preventing the sale of those items.

I think this may well be struck down. There's a major class action case working it's way through the courts that argues for players to have control and gain monetarily from their own likeness. I'd say they have a strong case.

As far as Manziel goes the NCAA is not a court of law. You don't have to be "proven beyond a reasonable doubt." The bar for the NCAA hammering players for violations is much lower. They don't necessarily need video taped evidence of money changing hands to bring down the hammer on Manziel.

actually, I REALLY DO! you shouldn't be saying what i do or don't want. you don't know me, therefore you have no idea what i do or do not want. so yes, i really do hope he plays. a team without one of their best players is a team that isn't at 100%. i would rather play a team at 100% than one less than at full capacity. if we lose, we lose. so be it. but if we win, then we'll know that we were the better team that day.

yes, i do take it personal. when you start talking about my team i'm gonna back them up. i stand behind my team. i got their back, so yeah, i do take it personal when someone talks crap about them.

and yes, Coach Saban (he's not my boy. he's not anybody's boy. he's the head coach of my team, get that straight) has said he wants to do away with up-tempo, no huddle offenses. but for safety reasons; not because he doesn't think his defense can't keep up. and if you think our defense is slow, then you haven't been watching. which i don't blame you. i wouldn't want to watch a clemson game so i wouldn't expect you to watch any 'BAMA games.
