Just saw the new PreOrder for Fast 6. It is a Steelbook and a vudu copy of I think a "making of" featurette for 24.96. Very disappointing to me. While I like Steelbooks, I don't have the 1st 5 in Steelbook. No vudu early access and no other bonuses. I was really hoping for a bonus copy of Fast 5 or something along with 2-3 weeks early access through Vudu.

These Vudu pre-orders being discussed here are only available in physical Wal-Mart stores. To date, they've never been available for purchase online from Wal-Mart or Vudu.

Just got the pre-order and I can confirm it comes with the digital version of the film as well

So, you get the uv twice? I assume one in an e-mail for early aaccess and then another one inside when you receive the physical blu ray movie?

Generally speaking, you do often get two digital copies with these pre-orders. They're not always UV though. Sometimes one (often the advanced copy) is just Vudu, but sometimes it's also UV. It can vary from release to release.

The first doesn't come in an email though. There's a code inside the pre-order case that you add to your Vudu account in order to secure your pre-order. The advance copy is then automatically added to your account on the date designated. You'll then get another digital copy code inside the physical copy that gets mailed to you if the general release includes one.

While that's the closest any of the online pre-orders have come, it still might be different than the Wal-Mart/Vudu pre-orders that are available in Wal-Mart stores. There's no mention of some of the extra stuff that comes with the in-store pre-order (exclusive packaging, lenticular magnet).

The Grimm Season Two Wal-Mart pre-order states that the UV copy that you get now will expire on the day of the BD release so I guess you have to enter the UV that comes with the actual release after that .

Good to know. That might be new, or that might be something that's different for the titles that have UV copies available long before the actual release date. With every one of these pre-orders I've had, which have all been for movies with advanced streaming copies that are only available 1-2 weeks before release, the advanced copies have remained in my UV and/or Vudu libraries with no need to redeem the UV copy that came with the physical release.

So it does or does not expire? I have it in my account and it shows that I own it, it does not show any expiration date. I got the code from another member so I don't have card to see what it says. Would appreciate clarification.
