No you're right, the PS3 is the be all and end all of picture quality and audio quality.

I paid $800.. I dont think thats bad at all.. for some reason though.. sound does come out of them , I know we are all shocked after 5 years of service.

Sound comes out of my $30 Harman Kardon 2.1 system on my PC too and I've had them since December 2001.

I do not currently use them.. nor am I paid to support them.. I somewhat don't or could care less, but you and others theory of being overpriced garbage is flawed.

There are thousands of people who are had everyday.. such as paying for a PT Cruiser (neon) back in the day for $30,000.. I feel bad but hey.. its them.

I'm not very familiar with the PT Cruiser. Did they state that it can do 200 mph or something and it couldn't? BOSE claims that the Acoustimass, and I'm quoting directly from their site, "delivers the clarity of pure, low-frequency reproduction down to the lowest frequencies, even at the loudest levels."
Now THAT is flawed. The lowest frequencies? Clarity even at the loudest levels? Is there something accurate about that statement that I'm missing?

Sure it gets to me the amount of trashing BOSE gets, its like someone paid $3000 for them and recieved no sound.. be funny.. to you probably it really is no sound.. but in general you do hear something.

Again, see my previous post about my $30 speakers. I do hear something too, in fact it's quite loud, but it's not clarity and it's not worth more than $30. Likewise the Acoustimass 16 is not worth more than $200.
