Default Taking pictures for insurance purpose.

People should take pictures of there Blu rays and home theater gear for insurance purposes. Once they have done this they should either put the pictures in a safety deposite box or give them to a friend so if there your house is burnt or burglarized the pictures are not gone.

Did something happen to you? I always though whole home insurance covered stuff like electronics and etc. That way if stuff is stolen or destroyed, insurance cuts you a check for blah blah blah amount to cover the loss.

If I ever lost every device I own with all the photos of my stuff on them, then I'd simply just direct the insurance company to the photos I have posted on this site.

+1 I keep my photos updated whenever I get anything 'big' in my theater for this very reason.

When my dvd collection was stolen in 2005 i had a list on dvdaf.com and gave the link to the insurance company its like a digital list of your collection like on here and allowed my insurance company to basically go shopping for me an order it to my house to replace it all thank god. This is a better way but also photo evidence is good too backed up onto your email or google drive.
