Default Need help PS3 40 gig

OK, this is whats going on. I just got a 40 gig PS3 and it works fantastic. My kids are trying to get me to sell it for a Wii. My kids are 11,10 and 8. I love the Blu-Ray how are the games for the system?

Tell your kids to buy their own Wii!

I'm not a big fan of the PS3 games, I only use my PS3 for Blu-ray playback. I also have a Wii and an Xbox 360, and the Wii novelty runs out fairly quickly, my kids barely play it now.

Christmas is only 8 months away...

the only worthwhile game on the wii is super smash brothers which is probably the reason why they want the wii. but the controls on the wii suck so bad its pathetic i much prefer sony's sixaxis motion controlling that you can use on select games. besides graphics on the wii suck, and the online on the wii sucks too. but cant just buy it for just 1 game even if you can use the gamecube controller on the wii on super smash

My kids are 18 months, 3 and 10. The 3 and 10 year-olds love the PS3 games, mostly the ones from PSN, like Pixeljunk Monsters, flOw, LocoRoco, and Calling All Cars. High Velocity Bowling is also a ton of fun, and makes good use of the Sixaxis controller, similar to the Wii's motion sensor tech.

As for games on disc, Lego Star Wars, Hot Shot Golf, Rock Bank, Blazing Angels 2, Ratchet & Clank Future, Motorstorm, Virtua Tennis 3 (any sports game, really), and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance are all games that would be age-appropriate for most kids.

Keep the PS3 and buy them a Wii for a birthday or Christmas.
