20th Century Fox Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007)

I rented this flick because it looked and sounded quite interesting and I'm a huge fan of horror. I was almost put off immediately by how incredibly disgusting it was (even for my standards), but eventually realised that it's actually a really well-made horror film. Would anyone else buy this if it came out on Blu? I would. Even now, watching it on a regular DVD, it looks fantastic.

I think the original would have to be released first.

I've seen the first one. I might pick it up and add it to my collection.

Well, that wouldn't really follow the Blu-ray pattern of releasing sequels before their original counterparts. (ex. Underworld Evo, Hills Have Eyes 2, Resident Evil Apoc.)

Those movies were day-and-date new releases with the DVD.

Wrong Turn 2 is direct to video and has been out for a while now.

Actually, none of those sequels were day and dates with their DVD counterparts. Underworld Evolution came the closest though (within 2 weeks of its DVD version). And since Wrong Turn 2 has been out for quite a few months now, it just reaffirms the fact that the original needs to be released on Blu-ray concurrently with it.

Wrong turn 1? Maybe depend on pricing and if high i would wait on a BOGO sale to get it. Actually that would apply to both these titles

was this really shot on 16mm? according to joe lynch's twitter, it was, but it's always looked very strange to me, very digital/video-like.
