My quick review:
Performance: The concert started off a bit too "jam-band" unrehearsed and sloppy for me, but it got much tighter musically while ironically getting looser, performance wise, in a very good way. ![]() Video: For 1080i/60p it was very detailed with almost no comb filtering. Quite bright overall with decent black levels. Some flatness and lack of depth from the bright blue and red lighting, like many concerts. Audio: Very balanced with some really punchy, deep bass and some actual discrete performance sounds in the surrounds, although it's mostly just guitar or snare drum effects panning around the room. It wasn't quite as solid overall as I expected, with John Mcglaughlin being involved, but it was very enjoyable, and got much better as it went. ![]() |
