How do I determine the format of the digital copy included with the Mary Poppins pre-order:

Well Disney has not joined DECE yet, so we know it won't be UV. It will most likely be Vudu or Amazon.

Probably Vudu (not UV) & Amazon, with maybe iTunes as well.

Most likely iTunes as well since the Canadian release will include the digital copy as well (Vudu and Amazon Instant Video are US-only services).

Since this is a fairly major release, I'd venture to say it will include a choice of Vudu, Amazon, or iTunes in the US.

Building on what stevemcqueen83 mentioned, since Disney started the Digital Copy Plus program, each release that has included a digital copy in Canada has included an iTunes option in the U.S. (along with Vudu and Amazon). All of the titles released that have been Vudu or Amazon only in the U.S. have not had a digital copy in Canada. Since this has a digital copy in Canada, there's a good chance that in the U.S. it will be a choice of Vudu, Amazon, or iTunes.

And yeah, sadly Disney isn't on board with UV yet.

Thanks for the replies and the pointer to Disney Support. I called and they said it's too early to know. They took my phone number, email address, and digital copy preference. The agent then advised me to call back closer to the release date. I thought the point of taking that info. was that they would call/email me once an answer was available. Now I am just going to get calls/emails about things I don't care about.

Just a heads up, if not already known.

If disney ever does go to UV, barring any license restrictions, vudu should convert it to UV SD if its in your vudu library.

They did it for me with scream 4, warrior, let me in, and girl with the dragon tattoo.

So my almost two year old daughter loves Mary Poppins, and I went to redeem the digital copy so I could put it on the ipad. I went to digitalcopyplus.com and put in my code. It redirected then opened iTunes, then it said "this title is currently not available in the Canadian store. Weird, since this was purchased in Canada, and unlike Cars and some other titles, the Canadian version does show on the package "includes digital copy". So I logged into my US iTunes account and tried it again, and it said "this title is currently not available in the US store." ??? Has anyone redeemed this yet with iTunes? Has anyone else been having problems? I used digital copy plus for Monsters U and Iron Man 3 and had no problems. And probably no customer support over the weekend either.

Hahahahahaha!!!!! So I just checked again, and it said, still having problems, click try again. It took me to another page and gave me a code to put in manually under the redemption page on iTunes, and it worked!

from memory what i read from someone who redeemed them both.
Can: BluRay - Itunes, GooglePlay (hulu?)
Can: dvd - Itunes, GooglePlay

if you have either a code, or even a used code from your region, and the same source you can goto digitalcopyplus.coma nd type int he code to get to the next screen which will show you the picture on the left, with quality sd or hd next to the valid code, and the right site will list options for redeption.
