There should be a support group for this. I see a new thread for a Blu-ray hating wife every 2 weeks. Either that, or put a Blu-ray clause in your wedding vows for your next marriage.

My Girlfriend really isn't too tech savy, and doesn't really give a rats about Blu-ray she respects my hobbies and other interests, she enjoys watching Blu-ray movies a lot more than DVD's, she has already noticed the quality jump in picture and sound.

you're probably talking about the subject too much, you should get all excited over blu-ray offers and promotions quietly in your head, if your wife isn't interested then everytime you talk about it it's going to annoy her, she should respect your hobbies, but maybe you don't respect hers??

My wife usually doesn't care about electronics and stuff. We watch a lot of movies and have a ton of DVD's but she always said "it couldn't make that much difference." So when I picked up a PS3 about three weeks ago I also picked up Enchanted for her (which is an excellent movie).

Needless to say after we watched it the words out of her mouth was "we are only getting Blu-ray from now on."

Where to start........

It really upsets my wife when I replace my standard DVDs with Blu Rays, but a lot of that is because she's been around for approximately 900-1,000 of my standard DVD purchases, so it's not like things that were just "there" when I met her. She sees the same thing happening, but only faster.... I purchased 35 or so Blus in the first 2 days I got my first player, so given that, she's been "understanding"

She definitely notices the difference, and the Galapagos Blu, or Planet Earth, etc.... are all purchases she loves, but when I pick up something she's not interested in, as long as it's on sale etc. she's alright. She doesn't "re-watch" very often, so I don't need to buy Enchanted, etc... I just netflix those titles. Even as a bonus, I got her a few chick-flicks lined up while I was out of town, and I didn't have to suffer through them!
