Banana plugs get you a better connection, typically prevent oxidation of the wire, and are a HELL of a lot easier to connect to the receiver. Multichannel ins are only for a source that has analog multichannel outs (like some Blu-ray players). All those are is basically an analog HDMI input, without the video.

well id be using the ps3 so it doesnt even have multichannel outs (i believe) so speaker wire is best...and i will purchase some banana plugs, thanks!
