This link has a picture of what appears to be the back of the blu ray and it does show it as having 2 blu rays and 2 dvds.

I'm not much of a horror fan, but do love docs about movies. Any idea who this will appeal to and if I should consider it?

Thanks for the link. I was looking on the Crystal Lake Memories page. Like you stated earlier it's really cool that they decided to spread this out over two disc.

It's 7 hours long, I think it would appeal to people that have seen most or all of the Friday the 13th movies and can't get enough.

I am trying to decide where to pre-order this from. I know that if I order it from Amazon I will get it on the day of release. But I really want to order it from the CLM site so that I get the extra disc but who know when it will arrive and I don't want to wait any longer than I have to. Decisions, decisions..lol

Just an FYI for those thrying to decide where to pre-order it from. Although Amazon has listed it (and it says it will be released on September 13), don't count on getting it on Sept. 13 from Amazon. Particularly because 1428 Films has stated in their press release that Sept 13 is a soft release on their web-site and DD, and will be released through other retailers later. Amazon quite often lists specials like that on the release date that the Soft release is out, but guaranteed on that day, Amazon will say "Temporarily Out Of Stock" and you can wait for weeks until it becomes available (most probably the date the 1408 has decided for the general public). Notice on other mainstream blu-ray pre-order pages under the release date there is a statement "Want to receive this the day it comes out? Select Free Two-Day Shipping at Checkout". This statement does NOT exist on the Crystal Lake page, which pretty much guarantees you will not be getting it on release date, and they could take weeks. I recently experienced this with a Warner Archive blu-ray, which was available on warner's site and Amazon had listed it for the same date, when the date came, it went Temporarily Out Of Stock and it took at least two weeks until I got it from Amazon, and I bet that will be the case with the documentary through Amazon as well. I am not advocating one over the other, just FYI for those who are still deciding (most probably the web-site preorders will be shipped first and you get a bonus disc for the same price).

With CLM being the actual makers of this it will most likely be shipped before the actual release date. I saw them say somewhere that they will make sure as many people have it on or before the release day as possible.

It's apparently inaccurate, but I doubt they were intentionally lying. Like I said, they claim the production company is setting it up themselves and maybe they're getting all that info through them, or perhaps they were operating on limited direct experience trying to get him to do an event and getting refusals.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, but I feel like it'd be a one-time watch for me (and my viewing habits). I'm just hoping for a price drop on the collection so I can get it soon after it releases.
