I'm sad that Crawlspace isn't listed as a Collector's Edition, I really like that movie.

I watched the Prince of Darkness Blu-ray today.

Picture quality is 4/5. The colours are brilliant and vibrant, blacks are deep and dark and there is some great detail. It is a very clean image and it really looks great! Unfortunately it looks as though there was an attempt to scrub the grain away - which creates a somewhat smoother images but obscures some detail - you guys know the drill with that. However, whatever grain reducing techniques have been used are very mild and though the image would be better off without it, it is still a great looking picture and the pop of the colours, deep and consistent blacks, good amount of detail and clean image more than make up for the mild grain smoothing.

The sound is great too, I found there was quite a bit of rear speaker play and the bass does it's job, nothing room shaking, but it's also not that kind of movie.

I haven't watched all of the extras yet, but they seem up to the quality we can usually expect from Scream's collector's editions.

I'm kinda glad. While I do love the Collector's Editions, I love a deal, and $14 for it is perfect.

That's true too, I should be thankful it's finally getting a wide US HD release!

Better that than spending $500 on cigarettes, or things of that nature.

You know, I also of the opinion that Scream Factory needs more 90's titles. I mean, Tales from the Hood might need one.

I thought the commentary track and interview with Carpenter + Alice Cooper were all that was on this release. Not a whole lotta stuff to get through. I was kinda hoping for some behind-the-scenes footage but I'm glad to have the film finally on Blu-ray.

That's another thing, you spent 500 dollars on the Scream Factory titles alone. That's impressive.

Trust me, my BD collection is not SF exclusive, I spend more than I should and sometimes more than I have on my BD Addiction. The $7.88 bin at wal-mart is like a magnet, I can't walk past it without buying something.

I have been funding my Scream Factory purchases partially by selling off some of my horror DVDs. It helps to offset some of the cost I guess.
