Eh, collectors. *shrug*

There's probably a little OCD-tendencies going on for some - I certainly know I tend to be that way. I actually made the decision when I started to buy Blu-rays to not keep the slipcovers, because I knew it'd start to drive me nuts. If it has one - great, if not - who cares?

...Well, some people do. Which is fine. I'm just glad I'm not one of them, lol. I have more than enough other things to worry about.

I sold my slips on my scream factory Blurays for over 30.00 I figure that's money I can use to buy more scream factory titles.

Wait... that guy (eBay link) is selling slipcovers for $15+?

That's just insane.

This is just my thought process when buying scream factory titles.

If it's a Collector's Edition then it will come with a slipcover. If I want that slipcover then I'll get it on Amazon on release day, guaranteed to come with a slip.

My thinking is that I can spend $20-22 on day 1 to guarantee it brand new with a slip... or wait a few months for it to drop a few dollars in price and not guarantee to come with a slip. I just see it as paying an extra few dollars for a slipcover.

It also saves time and headache down the line for me.

Don't know if that made sense but that's my thinking.

Will Psycho II & III be region locked? I asked in the relevant thread but got no answer.

They've both been confirmed to be region locked unfortunately.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I'm fine regardless (thanks to the Oppo!), but a fellow AUS mate was interested. I'll have to give him the bad news.

Do all these people that don't care for slipcovers, throw away the jacket to hardbound books? It's still the same book, right?
Here's what I don't get: People that don't understand that other people like slipcovers!

Thank God, we all think differently!

They're supposed to be, but a few of the recent ones have apparently been region free, though it was brought to the attention of someone from Scream Factory (it might have been Cliff?), and he said they would look into it and ensure that all future pressings and releases would remain A-locked, as they're intended to be.

Let me explain my relationship with SlipCovers.

I buy every Scream Factory release, and I love the entire package of the Collector's Editions, all on my shelf, matching. The slip is part of that package. I have every Collector's Edition on blu-ray and they all have Slipcovers. If I didn't get a Slipcover for even one, I would be devistated. All the money I put into collecting them, it would suck.

But for movies like, The Ring for example, that ordered from Best Buy last week. It came without the Lenticular Slipcover that is a Best Buy Exclusive. Did I care? No. I didn't even blink, sure it'd be nice, but its really just a bonus.

But on Scream Factory titles, its part of that whole experience and I love collecting them.
I also have a Zombi blu-ray that's naked, no slip. Do I care? Not one bit.

That's my story.

"Thanks for Sharing".

I've never really cared for slip covers. They get in the way of me getting to my movie. The movies already have cases, usually with the same exact art, anyway. Thus, I have two drawers full of slip covers I want to get rid of.

I'm sure some on here would be more than happy to take them off your hands. I like them myself but not essential. I do hope that the Shout/Scream Collector's Editions I have ordered from Amazon come with slips though.

Sure, it makes lots of sense, but some of us might not have the cash to buy a movie right on release day, that's why I just recently picked up they Live and Halloween 2 & 3. And like a previous poster, I love having the new artwork on the slip, but the original art on the flipside of the case, best of both worlds.
