IMO, The Rapture is the better of the two and is well worth getting.

I only know about The Disappearance through the Z Channel documentary (the program director was a big fan of Stuart Cooper). I believe that this is the first release for the film on disc so I have to get around to watching it soon.

A question about the In Like Flint Blu-ray. Is the isolated music soundtrack all in stereo?

Thanks.

I don't have that one, so I can't confirm what it has. However, all of the TT releases I do have have the isolated scores presented in stereo, including Rapture and The Big Heat which have their original audio in mono like Flint does. Thus, it is likely that In Like Flint is the same.

Low-key film, but it's lingering strongly in my mind after watching it last night. I'll definitely be viewing the second cut also included on the disc sometime soon. I live for 70s gems like this one, so this was a good purchase for me.

Whoever did the location scouting for this film did an incredibly good job. The Montreal and UK locations are both intriguing and add some rich psychological resonance to the film. I enjoyed reading up on the building where Donald Sutherland's character lives, Habitat 67: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habitat_67

Default The Song of Bernadette

I watched The Song of Bernadette for the first time a couple of days ago. I thought the highlight of the entire movie was Jennifer Jones' performance. So good! Vincent Price was pretty good too ... but isn't he always? I thought the PQ was very crisp ... good contrast. Like the review states, this movie feels (and is) dated ... and I suppose it should feel that way, since it was released in 1943. So younger people might have trouble getting into it. I'm not sure ... maybe it could be taken as "preachy". ?? According to the review (link below), the audio-commentary is well worth listening to (which I still need to do).

Who owns The Moon's Our Home, starring Henry Fonda? I've only ever seen clips and it never hit DVD, but I've been wanting to see it for years.

They send out emails of titles going under 500 copies left. They also post it on SAE website as well. Those two you shouldn't worry though, they'll be there for ya.

Drums Along the Mohawk and Alamo Bay should be fine to buy in October/November. I would keep an eye on the preorders for The Other though. That one may or may not have a decent demand.

Also, it looks like The Fury is now sold out at SAE.

Sorry, but coupon "SAVEMORE " is not available for this order.

Never mind, you have to be logged in first. No problem with my order once I did so.
