Fox has always had high prices. Remember fox laserdiscs with a SRP of $39.99 while Warner titles were $24.99.
As long as people keep buying Fox discs I can't blame them for keeping this high pricing policy.
Much more annoying is the fact that they don't seem to fully support the format with so few releases.
If the Walmart story is true (That's a big IF) Then I guess the BD camp will have to act quickly to keep the lead....More titles and cheaper players should be available soon.
I was in Thailand for work and wanted to check the price of Blu-Ray there. Went to a big Sony center in bangkok (Paragon) and they did show Blu-Ray but told me there were no plans to release a BluRay disc player in Thailand and there was no news yet on when the PS 3 would be available. HD-DVD was available in the Toshiba shop
