I have watched 5 minutes and my jaw is still on the floor, though it looks a re-tread of the original.

Think I'm going to add this to my "to buy" list. I've seen enough positive comments on the excellent 3D to justify the relatively low price. Thanks guys!

Has anyone watch Sammy 1 or 2 via vudu? Just wondering if it is just as impressive as the 3d blu ray. Having a hard time finding Sammy 1 for a reasonable price

I don't have the BD of Sammy 1 as I find it too expensive but I did rent it in HDX and it's comparable to other 3D movies from BD I've watched if that helps.

I got Sammy 1 on VUDU, on PS3 the qualy is lot worse than on Samsung 3d player because ps3 treats VUDU 3D movies as a game object and lowers resolution (Vudu customer service guys told me this)

All I can say is WOW.

A few thoughts....

- Watching the portion of the movie introducing the fish in the "tank" reminded me of the 3D rides at Universal Studios.

- Pleasantly surprised by how infrequent noticeable crosstalk was with the active 3D set. Considering the amount of crosstalk I noticed in Turbo with the foreground parallax, I feared the worst with this one... But to my surprise, the crosstalk I noticed (mostly in the beginning of the film) was siginificantly fainter than the majority of crosstalk in Turbo.

- The actual story/plot was also surprisingly good.

- This may be an unpopular opinion... But seeing how well the crosstalk was minimized despite the abundance of not just foreground parallax but extreme parallax to boot, I've realized that Turbo's 3D could have been done better. Yes, crosstalk is a result of the tv and not the movie itself, but if the filmmakers of Sammy can not only push the limits of foreground parallax but shatter it while keeping crosstalk in check, then the filmmakers of Turbo surely could have somehow did the same. Instead, crosstalk in Turbo is much more abundant yet the foreground parallax is siginificantly less than Sammy's. This is why I am so impressed with the creators of this movie to go to such extremes without the movie becoming a ghosting nightmare on Active 3D sets.

- HUGE thumbs up!

Cool!

I'll have to watch Turbo 3D again, but didn't notice any ghosting.

No one ever said the movie was good, if the 3D was crap there is something wrong with your tv or your eyes.

What tv or projector did you watch this on? Even on my active 65HX950 which runs into trouble occasionally with crosstalk on extreme foreground parallax, there was hardly any noticeable ghosting issues and plenty of pop outs on par with Under the Sea's Cod Fish scene.

Yes, the story can be lame, but I have two young kids and have to often watch the same animated films over and over and over... And the story for this one was not as bad as a lot of the films I have to sit through.

Brand new M series Vizio 70".

Sorry I can't force myself to watch a piece of garbage like that just to see the poorly animated characters "pop out" at me.
I prefer depth and detail, 3D that enhances the experience like The Hobbit.
You can dress a turd up in the finest clothes and it's still a turd. I jut wasn't impressed with it.
And there's nothing "wrong with my eyes" that's a ridiculous statement.

Honestly then you should specify what your looking for, try pixar if you want underwhelming 3d that only gives you depth.

I dont want to sound rude but you are taking stabs at people for no reason, the 3d in that movie is amazing, that and the first one.

If we would of known you only like depth no one here would of recommended either sammy movie.

Maybe finding nemo is more your style
