Perhaps people have been spoiled by Amazon and places that guarantee you get it on the release day, but that was never promised or implied here.

And don't fret all, there is another Friday the 13th coming up in December if people need to watch this on a Friday the 13th.

I don't mind waiting longer, I just want confirmation that it's going to be shipped. I've never ordered anything from anywhere where I don't get a confirmation e-mail of any sort, I'm just a little nervous about this.

well i'm guessing if you didnt get a confirmation email yet its because it hasnt shipped? that facebook link from earlier mentioned some wont be shipped til the 13th itself and some maybe later.

but if you're that nervous and haven't already, keep an eye out on your bank account. i dont know if its the same for everyone but i always see the charge appear there a good day or more before the shipment email arrives for whatever i've ordered.

well unless i paid for a pre-order with paypal. they tend to charge right away and none of that "your card wont be charged til its shipped" thing that paying directly with your credit card brings.

Same boat here. I just ordered from direct from the website last night, really want the bonus DVD, and because Amazon was not giving me a ship date after a whole month or more of being preordered. I used paypal and got a receipt through them but nothing from the website itself even acknowledging the order.....should be okay, Im just used to Amazons notification system I guess.

There's some paranoid obsessive collectors in here. I'm sure they will all ship just fine when they are ready to ship them out in the next few days.

i can only imagine all the emails they're getting about this.

they probably regret saying "we'll try and get it there by the 13th". what they should have done is chosen the 10th as the release date that way there really would be a chance to receive it by the 13th if not earlier. but now all these people are obsessing about having it on that day...can't be healthy. :P

That's VERY good to hear. Hope they do the same for me. Unfortunate I have to create a Facebook account just to get the $10 back they overcharged me, though.

Someone should really ask them to start checking their email and maybe even give a number out to their own offices, rather than their distributor.

To be honest I'd much rather receive multiple emails about my order than only one. That way I'll know what the status of my order is rather than not knowing anything at all.

Or, if they don't feel like emailing people a receipt or whatever like normal companies do (even normal small companies), how about some sort of way to check the status of your order on their page? Even if they're on the up and up -- and having ordered Never Sleep Again through them, I suspect they, at least somewhat, are -- mistakes happen, orders don't get properly placed, etc. It would be nice just to know your order went through and that THEY -- not just Paypal -- received it.

EDIT: And not having this to everyone who pre-ordered on FRIDAY THE 13TH is just bad form. They delayed it 2 weeks and chose that date for a reason. This should have been better organized. I haven't even received a shipping email, yet and we're less than 2 days away.

I would probably consider the "your bad luck begins" countdown clock to at least be implying a date. Along with this being a documentary about Friday the 13th with a release date of Friday the 13th. Unless by "your bad luck begins" they mean not getting the item you ordered. That would suck if that's what they mean.
