I forgot this started tonight! I am watching it now as I DVR'd it. The black chick who said she was 54 but looked 34 was phenominal!!!! Oh yea two new judges as they canned Brittany Spears and also L.A. Reid left. Joining Simon and Demi are Kelly Rowland & Paulina Rubio. Should be another great season. Got Em!!

I'm usually one who likes to see people go out on stage and make fools of themselves but wasting half the episode on them is excessive. Think they only showed two good singers all hour but those two were amazing. Then the quirky couple wasn't bad - enjoyed their rendition of a song I never really cared for before but they are really going to have to step up their game if they want to make it to the Live shows.

Episode was pretty boring, but I love Kelly Rowland.

Some good auditions tonight. That latin dude who was hella cocky must feel like an idiot. He thought his attitude would win the chicks over but instead turned them off lol. Loved the chick who sang Somebody to Love Me. The subway singer was good and loved her story. Theres gonna be some talent this season. Should be fun.

Oh yea Paulino sucks as a judge. They shouldve hired another guy to go along with Kelly & Demi. It was cool with two guys and 2 girls. Oh well. Got Em!!

Several decent/good singers but its hard to tell which of them, if any, have what it takes. Lots of people can practice a single song enough to be good at it but that doesn't mean they would make good singers. Will be interesting to see who makes it to the judges houses.

As for the judges, I like them. Don't know who the Latina singer is and don't know much about Kelly but they all seem to get along quite well.

The ratings this season are terrible. 6.45 MILLION for the one-hour premiere and 6.87 MILLION for the 2-hour Thursday episode.

saw some of the show but who the hell is Paulina Rubio? what are they going for an uglier less enjoyable Sharkira? She is awful....

Def should have another guy like you mentioned.. these judges seem a little on the boring side this year.

They are definitely boring. Simon was just creating a panel for himself, who he wanted to be surrounded by. The sexual deviant he is...

Ah well, as long as I can find someone to follow and root for, I don't really care what the judges have to say.

Paulina Rubio is huge outside the US, but only really cracked the US once, with a song from 2002 called "Don't Say Goodbye", which reached #41 on the Billboard top 100.

I'm not entirely sure why they brought her on board for a US talent show.

I didn't even know this would be on until I saw my DVR pick it up. I wonder why they started it earlier this year?

To me its not her looks or the fact that she is a foreigner. She just sucks as a judge and never knows what to say. Its like she is struggling for words at times and just bad at it. Very bad choice by Simon. Got Em!!

She's probably not the best at putting her words in English.

I think the real key as to how good she is as a judge will be what she does as a mentor. I don't really care what she has to say as long as she's not that bad when it comes to the later rounds.

I actually like 3 of Kelly's 4 selections. Rachel shouldnt have made it though. I wouldve went with either Jeff Brinkman or Santa Claus. Rachel was bad. Got Em!!
