I watched it yesterday on DVD, thought I'll get the blu-ray if I like it. I was disappointed with the plot though, feels like I was watching a cheesy horror movie. I think I'm just going to get AVP.

Just got finished watching the film, and, call me crazy, but I enjoyed it very much! Is it dark? Very! Is it dumb? Very! Is it cheezy? Very! I was so outraged and dissapointed by the first AVP, that I went into this one with the lowest of low expextations. Maybe that's why this movie works for me! I know alot of people enjoyed the first AVP. Being a diehard alien fan, myself, I enjoy the first Predator movie but not AVP. I thought it was just plain retarded in the first one to have a Predator actually make friends with a human! You could tell Fox just wanted to sell toys with the Pg13 rating and the love fest between the humans and Preds. With this movie, they tried to go back to basics. Lots of nods to the Aliens movie, same creature screams and predator music, motion detector sounds in beginning credits, etc. I'm still not satisfied with the total direction that Fox is taking this franchise. For all of us diehard aliens/predator fans, we should embrace this "popcorn" movie and just go with it... Sit back, crank your sound system up, as well as your brightness control and have a mindless fun time watching goofy humans get in the way of two of the coolest creatures to ever hit the silver screen!!!
