you can't foresee everything but they should've seen the Amendola injury coming, the guy is famous for being injured

they should've tried to keep woodhead too, looks like he's going to be filling the darren sproles role for the Chargers
the guy was such a good third down receiving back
I see them gong 9-7 because of those terrible moves.

I can see why they let Welker go. Danny is younger, faster, can play outside and just a bigger body. He has had bad luck injury wise and that's the risk you take. They wanted to get younger on O and i don't blame them

I wish Welker was still here but i can see why they let him walk. PLus there was more to it then just $$ IMO

Woodhead let go is fine in my eyes. They had/have enough RBs. Vereen was taking him over this year anyways before he broke his hand...he would have never seen the field if vereen was healthy. Would have been a waste of a roster spot

maybe a long week with the receivers Aaron Dropson and Kembrell Dropkins will help

can't wait for niners hawks

I think the long week will help them. The short week like that i hate.

This was Dobsons first NFL game last night. Still raw. Still plenty of room left for growth. With brady this O has nowhere to go but up and i think they do that once Gronk is back soon...Amendola in a few weeks...vereen week 10

Boyce didn't play a down last night is a sign he still doesn't know the playbook. He has great upside as well

Go Dolphins! Colts suck!

But I am sorry to hear that about Ballard even though they are division rivals. I sat next to his dad at the Music City Bowl a couple years back.

Same, except I have Falcons, Bills, and Seahawks. Hope my Titans can keep proving people wrong, but I can't pick us @ Houston. I do expect us to cover the spread though.

14-2 on my picks last week and in 1st place in our pool.

Amendola got a five year deal for $31 Million ($10 Million Guaranteed) and Welker got a two year $12 Million dollar deal. So both are getting $6 Million a year an average, although Amnedola's cap number is much smaller this year, but in the end it's roughly the same as if they cut Amnedola after next year it'd be basicilly the same:

2013:
Base salary: $2 million (fully guaranteed)
Cap hit: $3,543,750
Cash value: $8.5 million
Signing bonus: $6 million
Roster bonus: $500,000

2014:
Base salary: $3 million ($2 million fully guaranteed)
Cap hit: $4,543,750
Cash value: $3.5 million
Roster bonus: $500,000

Total for Two Years Cash Value : $12 Million

http://bostonherald.com/sports/patri...dolas_contract

It would have been cheaper to resign Welker.... I didn't get the move then, and I don't now.

Welker ran the course with Belichick

then again the stuff Welker did would get a slap on the wrist if he was on another team

Agree, except I'll take the Colts, Bills & of course the Cowboys for wins...because I'm a glutton for punishment.

I understand it. That is my point, the decision to let WW walk was not strictly a football decision, nor a financial one. BUt the bottom line is they choose Amendola over Welker, and while that may change, right now it's not looking like the best football decision.

After hearing out Ron Rivera, I'd take the Bills too.

Apparently he's not too fond of up tempo offenses like the Eagles. Then again his own offense only ran 50 plays for 7 points and lost to the Seahawks.

Our defense is definitively still shaky, but as a whole we are a franchise moving in the right direction and should get better and better as the season goes on because we are so young and inexperienced. EJ is going to be a special player.
