I'll probably get the regular one with the slipcover, unless this is G2 size. Good thing I didn't get the earlier releases.

BB has an early release of this movie but I think I will wait and see if this is a G2 steelbook. I really hope it is!

It's wasn't.

Just a normal release with a boring flat slipcover. No emboss, holofoil or anything.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but for those in Canada, this will be released as an Amazon.ca exclusive. This is good for importers from other countries as well since Target doesn't ship internationally.

If people are going by the picture at the top of this thread as a size example... IF you assume it is to scale, then three discs overlapped in the way that is shown would seem to indicate this is standard Blu-ray case sized.

The picture could be wrong... but if using that as a guess, it would seem the only known info suggests that this will be a Blu-ray sized steelbook.

Everyone preordered, then a lot of people reported having their preorder cancelled with no notice.
I think most people just went to the store and bought it on release day.

Confirmed G2 size

I apologize for the lack of pictures, but I received four copies of this today on the truck and it is G2/blu-ray size. The promo image is very misleading (as are initial promo shots for most things).

The weird thing with all four was that they seemed to have a bulging back that prevented them from fitting inside the standard blu-ray clear security cases. They fit no problem in the taller DVD-sized ones, though.

So stop worrying, all. It is G2 sized! And it's purty.

I never worried. There hasn't been a G1 BD sigted in the US for quite some time.
