Default Emotiva?

I'm considering the LPA-1 amplifier from Emotiva . . . has anyone had any personal experience with Emotiva? At $499 it seems like a steal compared to many other companies, but if the quality is only so-so I'm not interested.

I am interested in the same amp. I've read a few good things, but haven't heard from anyone first hand.

Being that its $800 or so cheaper than a Rotel - it's got me interested.

I'm interested in their (separates) stuff too. They look quite good, but the Up/Down volume buttons are awful!

Here is a review that is online. I am saving for the xpa-5 and the umc-1 processor. They do have a no-risk in home trial period, for those of you who are interested.

The XPA-5 looks like a fantastic amp for the money ($800). It's a 5 channel amp though while the LPA-1 is 7. You could always drive the rears with your receiver though!

Emotiva amps are a very good value and are well-built. There have been some minor issues with their processors though, so check out their forum at their website.

Their power amps are good. Great bang for the buck.

Their forthcoming pre/pro has an HDMI output, so that might be worth investigating...
