Brian De Palma is more miss than hit. Not only is most of his work a ripoff of Hitchcock's style, but the writing is pretty poor, as well. I do love Passion, though.
Also, I think Tony Scott isn't very good. His best film is hands down True Romance, but the rest of his films are pretty generic and strictly rely on colorful visuals and this and that. |
