Oh, no. The Host is at least an order of magnitude below Battlefield Earth, for me, anyways. As far as I am concerned, there are legitimately "so-bad-it's-good" films like Troll 2, Birdemic, Plan 9, The Room, Sharknado, and so on, that are actually fun to watch. Then, below that, are films like Battlefield Earth which I call "strangely watchable Hollywood trainwrecks" which aren't really "fun" to watch and make fun of, but they are watchable and you can't turn away. From what I gather, "After Earth" would fit in this category (haven't seen it). And then below that tier, is straight-up horrible films like "The Host."

But yeah, the Host was bad. Way worse than I expected.
