I am willing to bet these deficiencies are internet based rehashed I hate MPEG-2 flash points that have no basis in reality or fact. VC-1 also has deficiencies, but because its new everyone believes its the best thing since ovaltine came on the market.

VC-1= "its new, so it must be better"
MPEG= "its old, so it must be inferior"

This kind of thought process has flooded the internet since HD on disc was introduced. It takes no brain to repeat over and over what you read on the internet. I guess doing so makes you seem educated on the subject matter........or not.
