Thats not true
I use them often and while the shipping is a slow, all of my purchases were new in the shrinkwrap and they use a couple of kinds of mailers...I prefer their cardboard one, its pretty sturdy. I have yet to receive a damaged item from them.
I like to call their parcel a giant ravioli because the center is packed, thick while the outside surrounding area is thin

Yeah I said ravioli

I know exactly what you're referring to and I think all my orders from them have come in that style of packaging.

I'd probably use ImportCDs a lot more, but I'm pretty sure Illinois is the only state in which ImportCDs charges sales tax and Amazon doesn't. The price difference between the two retailers typically winds up being pretty negligible for me once I factor in sales tax combined with shipping and handling, since most of my orders qualify for free super-saver shipping with Amazon.

Only one time did I receive a blu-ray with a cracked case from Importcd's and they refunded my money and paid for the shipping back with no hassle so I had a good experience with them in that department. I have got plenty from them though and usually all products turn up fine.

Well, there's solace to be found if other people are receiving their shipments from Import CD's.

Maybe I was part of some secret initiation hazing? Regardless, it was a bad enough experience for me that I won't be returning.

On a more directly related note, I did place an Amazon order today, and am eagerly expecting the arrival of Day of the Dead. It's been quite awhile since I've seen it, so I think my Saturday night plans are set.

I really, really, really, really like Part VII. I don't hear nearly enough praise for it.

Tina is such a rad character with her telekinetic powers. Definitely a worthy foe of Jason, I thought that sub-plot was wonderful.

Since MGM saw fit to release the sequel but not the first, it would be nice to see Scream do Troll (possibly as a double feature disc with another Empire title).

I saw 2 copies of The Fog at Best Buy earlier today with slipcover, hopefully that means maybe they will start carrying more of screams titles.

I'd rather them just do both as a Double Feature, with real extras.

I liked Tina, but 7 just didn't do it for me. It was probably the fact that it was butchered to hell.

I know, that doesn't help. Have you ever seen the workprint VHS cut. The Kill scenes are crazy and they are completely removed in the final cut.

I have only seen a few seconds. Thanks to Cecil T. of Good Bad Flicks for those seconds, though.

No I've had some terrible experiences with them before and they don't handle returns very well if you don't live in the US. That and they take a very long time to get you your orders. They are cheaper then a lot of places it's just whether or not the hassle of dealing with then is worth the couple dollars you save.

Maybe it's delayed because they found the uncut footage after all and want to include it. I don't know, just speculating.

Oh man, there is somewhere online the DVDrip with all the cut footage(in horrible shape mind you) re-edited back in. My favorite is when Jason squeezes the black kids head...cut version all you hear is the crunch...the uncut version you sees his eyes explode out of his head...damn I wish the MPAA didn't enforces those cuts.

Scream Factory announced the delay a couple days ago. The delay is due to a commentary track.

I've mentioned this before, but Ghoulies really is a bad movie. I watched the first 3 films for the first time in years about 2-3 months ago and man, part 1 is by far the worst. Like you, I was clamoring for a Ghoulies/Ghoulies 2 double feature, but after re-watching them all again, I'd say the winning formula would be to include Ghoulies 2 & Ghoulies 3: Ghoulies go to College instead. The first film has none of the charm that parts 2 & 3 share.

Ghoulies 2 is classic 80's B-Movie fare and deserves a Blu ray release though, regardless if any of the others ever make the transition or not.
