Called in earlier to inquire why World War Z hadn't shipped even though it was preordered a month ago, and even up until a couple of days ago there were copies available. First CSR was absolutely clueless and kept repeating the same answer. Second one said it was because the shipment was attached to other items that did not yet have release dates. She couldn't separate the order without cancelling it, and when she tried to place a new one, could not do it because it's sold out. Anyways was told the price would be honored in store, so i popped in and got a copy at $9.99. Of course it was a gong show at Best Buy even in the evening at GTA 5 released and people were there to pick up.

For Iron man 3 from bedt buy, we don't get the figure because we Pre-ordered it. Or wud we get mailed it, that sucks

I plan on buying it to get the figure and once my preorder ships, return that one.

Same here for World War Z. I e-mailed them asking if I could split the order.

Ya Best Buy is being pretty unhelpful with this, only giving generic responses. They know they have a problem on their hands yet refuse to address it.

I called last night too around 8:30pm and talked to a young guy who was willing to help. He cancelled the other item, in my case Turbo, to hopefully release World War Z and said I should hope to get a shipping notice for WWZ in 24 hours or so. So far, it's still sitting there waiting to be shipped. They have stock. It's the 3D version, and is still available for purchase online.

So will wait till end of day today to see if anything changes but this is ridiculous. They have archaic systems over there he even said so himself. It's remarkable how they manage to stay active using the eons old technology they do. Such a shame really.

Oh well, don't mind having Turbo for $14.99 cancelled from my order. Was probably going to return that one anyway as I found other gifts to give my nephews for Christmas

But what's funny is they told me no, they couldn't do it but I went back to look and the orders are layed out differently.

Originally I had:

Shipment 1
Man of Steel

Shipment 2
World War Z
Turbo
Elysium
Despicable Me 2

I now look at my order status and it says this:

Shipment 1
Man of Steel

Shipment 2
World War Z

Shipment 3
Turbo
Elysium
Despicable Me 2

So does this mean I will get World War Z?

Update. I gave them a call and they separated the shipment orders for the two movies. WWZ is now a separate order from Despicable Me 2. So it would be wise to check your orders to see if it is combined with another movie for shipping.

Another update: My account has been charged for WWZ and the order indicates it has been shipped. So my call on Tuesday did the trick and I should be getting it today or tomorrow.

Difficult to understand why it can be done for some and not others. The CSR who was quite pleasant changed the order without a problem.

Still haven't been charged for World War Z, making me slightly annoyed. The customer service rep that I talked to yesterday guaranteed me that I would be charged first thing in the morning.

Guess my lunch hour will be spent on hold with customer service... again.

EDIT: called Customer Service and they informed me that it takes up to 48 hours for charge validation / charges to go through. Not to sure why this is taking such a long time since the other items in the order (Colony) were charged on the Friday before shipment. Oh well, told to call back tomorrow if nothing changes.

thinking something must be up with their system, order status for WWZ has changed to shipped and I did get a notification but no charges yet...so strange

When I talked with my rep on the phone, he told me there was a known system-wide error with that specific title, so hoping that my future titles don't have the same fate!

It is annoying having to wait for new releases isn't it?

With FS/BB part of the challenge is trying to get them to honor the deals you already ordered. It's been good getting information from others with similar issues.

Called and got WWZ seperated from Grown Ups 2 and Turbo. Should be shipped pretty quick as per the rep

My copy arrived today after calling them and having the shipment changed from WWZ and Despicable Me which isn't due out until Dec.
