Amazon Canada had them at 48.99 and 55.99 respectively, and then they jumped up, but then went right back down after a week or a few days or something, I can't remember. It was kind of weird.

I'm disappointed that Day of the Dead only had a 49 cent difference between pre-order and final price. I really hope that Pyscho II and III and PoD don't have the same thing....

Yeah...Monkey Shines. Maybe they could dig up the original ending.

I like the ending it has. Come on. The guy kills the monkey with his bare teeth. That is hilarious.

Basically their whole physical media selection now (movies, games, and music) is down to the bone. Pretty much nailed how my bestbuy is too, the only redeeming thing is that I noticed they had a sign that said "free site to store on orders placed in store" so I guess they can order anything from the website for you but I mean thats nothing new at all stores have been doing that forever haha.

I just don't get how that is smart business though, I mean if the website carries all these catalog titles, then Best buy already has them in there warehouses with other items. On top of that, if my store has all this empty floor space, how is that going to generate any income? If the titles were stocked and not selling, that's one thing, but every time an event comes along their selection is always well picked through which more then shows that there is a demand for these titles. There is simply no reason in my mind why they shouldn't carry 1 or 2 copies of nearly every film that the website has when the floor space is available. If anything, do away with the god awful dump bin idea. I never bother to look in their anymore as it's always the same crap, and it's just shoveled in there with no rhyme or reason. I'm convinced that if they moved the dump bin titles to a small shelving system they'd easily sell more copies as it'd be easier to look through and the signage would be much more attractive.

I never get a shipping e-mail from Shout whenever I order anything from them. The orders usually just show up without advance warning, and always a couple days before the release date, which is something I'm not typically used to...

Think of the number of stores they have. They only need one copy in one central warehouse in order to be able to say "in stock" on the website. One per store is a very different thing. Also, events are events BECAUSE people buy more during them. I.e. that's why they have them.

I'd love to see a better selection in my local Best Buy, but I'm sure (or rather, I hope) that their financial models showed them that cutting down is better for the business. Add to that any strategic considerations, and that's it...

Or they just threw a dice

Sorry we had to move it though. New street date will be 2/18. Look for the final list of extras to be revealed in late November.

Can anyone recommend some great Scream Factory releases that would be great blind buys? I am a fan of 80s horror but surpringly a lot of films in the collection, I have never seen. My favorites would be Friday the 13th and Halloween. I am looking for the best package in terms of PQ, special features and especially replay ability.

Some of the release that interest me and have never seen are:

Lifeforce
The Burning
Terror Train
They Live
Island

Movies in the collection I have seen:

Halloween 2 and 3 - like them both
The Fog - not a fan
Ninja 3 - cannot really remember it in all honesty
Prince of Darkness - not a fan
Swamp Thing - not a fan
