I don't see how less than a tenner per movie, at release, is so terrible. The price'll fall and it's not like these are the best movies ever anyway, so we can wait a bit, I should think

I think this is something that will go down to under £20. I'll wait for £17.99!

They have probably given it the two films a disc treatment, aswell ; a la A Nightmare on Elm Street... so it really should be cheaper than it's price.

The price is stupid along with the artwork, wonder if Warner will bother to provide decent transfers?

They can put each Police Academy release on its own disc but failed to do that with the Friday 13th collection this company really don't have a f**king clue

If I remember correctly, part 4 was released on DVD as full screen. I hope they don't do that for the blu ray release.

There were a lot of DVDs that Warner released as full screen because they were shot open matte but were anamorphic on blu (Spies Like Us being a good example). IIRC, two of the Police Academies came out on full screen DVD but I'm 100 percent sure they will be anamorphic widescreen on blu.

That has to be hands down the absolute worst artwork for a blu ray release that I have ever seen.
Considering the majority of the films had posters by Drew Struzan they choose this,I can't believe it.
As always the price is just silly also, give it a few months and it will get more reasonable, then I can get cover work more suitable.

I was just gonna say the same thing about the Drew Struzan artwork. Such a shame they've got rid of it.

It's already 12 quid on amazon, how much cheaper do you want it to be?

What is an anamorphic Blu-ray?

Hang on: Are those in slips, in a slip?

They probably didn't care about Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, because those films aren't really part of their legacy... though to be honest, I can't really say the same thing about the Police Academy series, either, at least not with a straight face.
