Sorry, but this show is the one the best examples of 'How To Go Downhill after a good few seasons'. Seasons 1-4 were entertaining late friday night television. Specially season 4. But then the show drastically went downhill in quality.
Character development was weak, familiar plotting was used. Dexter's musings because more repetitive and the dark humour that was prevalent through the first four seasons because non existent. I don't know what happened, if some writers left after season 4 or something but I will NOT be buying this or bothering to rewatch it. I don't even mind being spoiled about the finale.
