Well, I finally got to see Iron Man 3 for the first time tonight. I've heard quite a lot of disappointment from fans about the third one so I was hesitant going into it.

But, I actually enjoyed the movie, although it has a feeling that is completely different than Iron Man 1 & 2. It certainly has loads of comedy in it and lots of action but it skimps out on Iron Man which I thought was a little disappointing. Overall though I still enjoyed it and will watch it many times.

But here comes some negativity:

This unfortunately now takes the place of the worst 3D movie I have seen to date in my opinion. The depth here is VERY SHALLOW. Even during action sequences. This is a pretty dark movie, and like almost all dark movies, that usually will kill your 3D effect and it does here.

All Disney/Paramount 3D Marvel movies to date have been pretty disappointing to me so far, especially the 3D in Thor, but honestly even Thor was quite a bit better than IM3. That should give you an idea for the 3D quality you are in for. I'm sure if Disney would start filming their 3D movies in 3D instead of converting them they would be so much better.

I still am not disappointed with purchasing the 3D version because I will always buy a 3D version over the 2D if it is offered just for my collection. But if you are someone who only wants the best 3D out there, you definitely could skip this one and just get the 2D version. This is the first 3D movie I have ever said this about.
