some MGM titles I'd love to see Scream release would be

Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane, The (1977)
Burnt Offerings
Audrey Rose

FOX/MGM Would love to see Shout finally give the US the uncut version of Vault of Horror!

I think I've mentioned enough times which MGM titles I want (SquirmMotelHellDeranged ) so let's move onto Universal:

Or does (stupid) Anchor Bay still have the rights to this one since they released it on DVD way back when.

I hope so, Karen Black spooked the crap out of me as a kid watching that movie, truly deserves the blu treatment!

I think he's referring primarily to the deal Shout! Factory already has in place with MGM.

This just came to me... Has there been any word on the likelihood of After Midnight? It's with MGM and I haven't heard of it before the other day, so it's not really big.

Are people having good luck getting slipcovers with older Collector's Editions when ordering directly from Shout/Scream Factory?
I emailed Jesse at Diabolik before ordering to ensure slipcovers were included. They are.

I also emailed Shout! and they guaranteed slips for ALL titles when ordering directly.

Both companies were extremely helpful.

Several pivotal scenes in Easy Rider that feature Karen Black are somewhat unsettling, simply because of the New Orleans cemetery setting and the hallucinatory images in the context of what's going on. I will not go so far as to say that these scenes are scary like scenes in the two above-mentioned Karen Black films are, but they've always weirded me out.

I've only seen Karen Black in Invaders from Mars...

Also... I watched Near Dark for the first time last night. Masterpiece.

Near Dark is brilliant.

Every time I revisit this movie, I end up going into my CD collection to listen to The Cramps - "Fever" again.

I finally got around to watching The Fog blu ray last night and I have to say it thoroughly impressed me, I thought it looked amazing in most scenes. One scene during a daytime shot on the beach had some very brief brown scratches and there were a couple soft looking scenes inside of the church but very minor and the rest looked great especially the blacks.

I was a bit worried since most of this movie takes place in the dark that black levels would flicker in and out but it had virtually none of that, strong inky blacks pretty much throughout. One of my favorite shots was when the DJ is walking down the steps to the lighthouse and you see the ocean and the waves crashing in the background, looked pretty breathtaking on this new blu ray. Im super picky when it comes to PQ and I had read some complaints about this blu ray but I can say to me they are completely unfounded, definitely my new favorite scream blu ray that I own.

How do you know they haven't already made a profit on them ? Or maybe they didn't profit and just want to unload the movies instead of them sitting around...
Anyway, I said my piece on this. Im not going to go back and forth about sales prices. You want the last word, take it. Next topic please

I don't want the last word, you can have it. I thought everyone was aware that scream factory is a small company and can't afford to price everything in the bargain bins.

not to add to any arguement.. but the original topic was whether something was a good sale price or not. Since SCREAM does not offer titles for bargain prices (the only exception.. ever... was NINJA 3), then prices "under $20" are actually a good price...

I freaking love that movie, another great atmospheric slow burn movie. I was actually just thinking about how I wish they would give it a blu ray release the other day, I really hope someday it will.

I know they are a small company. 9.99 to 14.99 isn't bargain bin
that's for those 4.99 - 7.99 Best Buy / Walmart mainstream titles...and sometimes something decent
