They forgot what genre made them who they are. No all they give a shit about is stupid ass Hunger Games and and dumb ass Tyler Perry movies.

Lionsgate is slowly going dead to me.

I just did a price check of this on Amazon.de. It's $30.53 shipped to America by itself. I already had the movie in my cart with 3 other movies. I just placed that order and the price came out to $72.26. Having an Amazon account is great for importing alot of international titles.

So if big studios like Lionsgate and Warners don't think it's worth their time to rerelease catalog titles on blu ray then why won't they license them out to companies like Scream Factory? I would think they would make more money licensing the titles out than they would make just sitting on them unreleased?

They care about movies that sell and make them money.

But they should definitely start licensing out their titles that they have no intention of releasing. They would be fools to just sit on their catalog and not make money off it.

Lionsgate is an odd duck - they never seemed to be interested in anything but creating new theatrical franchises to exploit, the "Saw" films, Madea and now Twilight - just typical, by-the-numbers junk for the masses. The problem is, they're the current owners of one of the largest untapped cult film library, behind only MGM. The rights to many highly-desired titles are being held hostage by the studio and even though they dipped their toes in the water by releasing titles like THE MONSTER SQUAD and MY BLOODY VALENTINE, they never really cared for any of it. What I don't understand is their reluctance to license anything out. That's the big mystery.

As a Scream title? Doesn't really fit, IMO.

The Weinstein Company picked up the rights to SUSPIRIA when the "restored" HD version was shown at Cannes in 2007, then sat on it and did nothing (apparently in anticipation of cashing in on the planned remake which never materialized). There's speculation that their license has since lapsed and another company picked it up, but as of now nothing has been officially announced.

It'll never happen, but I would pay quite handsomely for a Three Mothers Trilogy blu-ray set.

Why? With each movie it got progressively worse....I mean especially the last one was just terrible.

I disagree 110%, at least regarding INFERNO which I consider to be Argento's ultimate masterpiece and one of the best horror movies ever made.

While I do like the movie as its own when you compare to Suspiria it isn't as good. Don't get me wrong I do like the movie but it just live up to the level set by the first one.

I respectfully disagree, and I love SUSPIRIA, too

Picked up Amityville Trilogy yesterday and watched Amityville 3D first thing today. I have to say I am seriously surprised by all the negativity surrounding this movie and its BD release.

Sure it's not the greatest of the three films, but it certainly isn't worse than a lot of other b-horror films we all cherish and love.

As for the transfer, I only watched it in 3D and I thought the stereoscopic work is amazing. It's pure classic 3D entertainment. The parallax on most of the shots are so deep. It may hurt your eyes a little, but if you have passive gasses I think you're fine (which I do. I find the progressive ones give me a headache and this release would make it worse.)

There's all kinds of stuff coming out of the screen on this release. Also, I've read that the transfer was blurry. Maybe in 2D it is, but in 3D it looks great. Sure there's a bit of print damage, but it all adds to the overall experience. This release just makes me more upset about Friday the 13th 3 not getting a proper 3D BD release.

If you're going to watch this movie, don't even bother with the 2D. I found the 3D really added to my viewing pleasure. Can't wait for House of Wax now.
