Definitely not intentional, but pretty neat nonetheless.

What's next for the cast?

AARON PAUL: The 34-year-old actor will next be seen putting the pedal to the metal in “Need for Speed,” an adaptation of Electronic Arts’ long-running video game franchise. Paul plays an ex-convict who joins a cross-country car race in hopes of exacting revenge on the former partner (Dominic Cooper) who framed him.

He’s starring opposite Juliette Lewis in writer-director Kat Candler’s indie drama “Hellion,” which focuses on a fractured family trying to hold it together in a small refinery town in Texas.

Paul is also starring in the ensemble drama “A Long Way Down,” an adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel about four suicidal people who form a surrogate family to help each other through tough times after meeting on top of a tall building on New Year’s Eve. Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Rosamund Pike and Imogen Poots co-star.

Perhaps the most promising project Paul has in the works is Ridley Scott’s biblical epic “Exodus,” in which Christian Bale takes the lead as Moses. Paul is playing Joshua, the Hebrew slave who led Jews to the promised land, alongside Moses. Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley and John Turturro are also included in the strong supporting cast.

ANNA GUNN: The Emmy-winning actress who played Walter White’s wife, Skyler, hasn’t found her next big project yet. The former “Deadwood” star scored the lead in Bravo pilot “Rita” earlier this year, but the network ended up passing on the drama about a private-school teacher struggling to balance her professional and personal life.

RJ MITTE: Also off to a slow start in his post-”Breaking Bad” career. So far, he’s only lined up one movie — an action movie called “The Devil’s Ink.”

DEAN NORRIS: He moved on to another hit series before “Breaking Bad” even ended. Norris plays James “Big Jim” Rennie on CBS’ “Under the Dome,” which returned for a second season earlier this month. He’ll also be seen in Ridley Scott’s “The Counselor” this fall, and has a role in “24″ co-creator Joel Surnow’s feature-film directorial debut, “Small Time,” which is set for a spring 2014 release.

VINCE GILLIGAN: One of the biggest breakout stars of the series, and has two more in the works.

The former “X-Files” executive producer is continuing to work with AMC for “Breaking Bad” spinoff series “Better Call Saul,” which centers on sleazy New Mexico lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). Gilligan will also return to broadcast cable in the 2014-2015 television season with CBS detective drama “Battle Creek,” a series the Emmy winner is executive producing with “House” creator David Shore.

Excellent ending, to echo the many praises in this thread.

[Show spoiler]At the end of all of this, I really don't know how Vince wanted us to come away hating Walt. The man was downright heroic in his final minutes. I found myself feeling truly sorry for him and all that he lost as he laid there, dead, on the ground, surrounded by the method of his own destruction. R.I.P. Walter White.

I wonder though, had Walt not been hit by a bullet from his own gun, what would he have done? Commit suicide? Or allow the cops to bring him in? Hmm.

Nitpick: Walt's hair in the opening season 5a flashforward was considerably shorter than it was in the rest of the episode.

Not gonna lie,
[Show spoiler]the song at the end, as well as the last moments in general, got me a little teary-eyed.

How do you guys, who have seen them, put "Felina" against the finales of Six Feet Under and The Shield? Those shows are my gold standard for how to go out properly, and I loved Breaking Bad's finale, I'm just unsure, at the moment, whether or not I would put it above those two.

I would rank it above the Shield but Below Six Feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, Lost , The Wire. Might be tied with the Sopranos.

I'd put The Shield and Six Feet Under finales above Breaking Bad's finale, but would say Breaking Bad is my favorite show out of those two shows, [Six Feet Under would be very closely behind, though]. My other favorite finales are The Sopranos, The Wire and Battlestar Galactica.

The Six Feet Under finale effected me a little more than Breaking Bad finale.... Seeing how all the Six Feet Under characters meet there eventual deaths is something i will never forget. That song "Breath me" by Sia was perfect and moving. If you made it through that episode without balling your eyes out then you are made of stone.

What is with some of you here saying Lost was better/the best? Are you considering the series as a whole or just the finale? Because a lot of the people I knew that were OBSESSED with the show absolutely HATED the finale. I've seen more like in this thread for the finale than anywhere else. Even a lot of entertainment blogs that were counting down the best finales last week listed Lost under the bad category. I haven't seen it, so I can't judge...just going by what seems to be the overall reactions. I remember seeing all the hate online when it ended and whatnot and hearing from some friends.

Not a fan of Lost but i remember the reaction being pretty divided, some people loved it, others hated it.

Yes, there was of course people who enjoyed it, but it just seems like overall it is considered a "Bad" finale. That was my impression.

The episode where
[Show spoiler]Nate dies
hit me harder than the finale. I did like SFU's finale, since it wrapped up everyone's storyline
[Show spoiler]by their deaths
.

I liked Breaking Bad's finale better though, wasn't as emotionally effected as others, but I liked how it wrapped up things. It went how I thought it would for the most part
[Show spoiler]Walt dies trying to rescue Jesse. If you put any weight to Vince Gilligan's Mr. Chips to Scarface comment, he goes out shooting, probably the meth nazis, and then gets shot from behind, maybe even by Jesse. Lydia probably gets the ricin. Somehow he gets his money to his family. Huell leaves the safehouse since Hank is gone but is paranoid about everything. Saul will be alright.
but I loved how they figured out how to do everything to wrap up loose ends. I loved the Sopranos, but it started to drop towards the end, and I was confused / thought the cable had cut out when that ended. After plenty of reading, I believe
[Show spoiler]Tony got killed by Members Only Guy

Maybe because I watched thru SFU and The Shield on DVD, as opposed to watching it live has something to do with it. I think I watched BB S1 and S2 on blu, and caught up around S3. Sopranos, in college, I paid $10 a month for HBO to watch. School provided basic cable channels, but HBO was $10/month. I find it hard to rank just finales, without taking the whole series into account. I am a fan of tying up loose ends, no ambiguity and people getting what I thought they deserved / being happy with what happens to characters. Because of that, I'd say Breaking Bad's finale tops my list.

So if Lydia goes to the hospital and tells them she has ricin poisoning there is nothing they could do to save her?
