Wonder how many will buy the Sony FMP-X1 and connect it to their Samsung, Panasonic, etc. UHDTVs only to discover it will not work with those sets. Amazon at least warns folks the FMP-X1 will only work with certain Sony products.

This wont be an issue with the PS4. Frankly, I think the FMP-X1 was designed to work out any kinks in the 4K download interface. Early adopters are generally bright people who aren't going to make the mistake of buying an incompatible display.
