i think they were trying to mock the system. but the "elite" comes as no surprise. thing is a pile.

I know - that's what made it especially funny.

With the Elite producing the same amount of heat as the original 360 I wouldn't be surprised if the system has the red ring of death that crippled so many of the original 360's when they came out. To me the PS3's reliability is one of the big positives that doesn't get enough recognition as alot of the media want to focus on the negatives and not give credit where it's do.

Didn't solve the heat problem.
Didn't solve the noise problem.
Didn't provide HD audio (which we knew already).

What a day for MS-DVD!

How about scratching peoples disks? Surely they took that seriously and fixed it. No? Ahh right then people will go out an buy it again instead of put up with the support/refund lines.

Just like the once arrogant Big 3 American car mfgs - they are about to learn some painful lessons about trying to pull the wool over their customers eyes with their constant FUD and trash talking. It works for the short term but it's already catching up to them - and they shot themselves in the foot with this so called "Elite" - even the fanboys are having a tough time swallowing this one.

And if this is the "Elite" - then what the hell does that make a PS3 in comparison? Supreme Console of the Universe

Oh my god, they are even more pathetic than anyone would have thought possible..let's see the PS3 has a backup/restore utility combined with an inventory of all the protected content I've purchased from the store.

Really just unbelievable..but hey think about when you try to upgrade that 120GB to another proprietary 500GB drive in the future..even more lost money and lost rentals. Just unbelievable nonsense. How stupid are people to keep investing in this nonsense? Nonsense that will only get worse not better.

Probably not the coverage Microsoft were hoping to see but of course it's not their fault it's a waste of money! It's the dastardly person that leaked the Elite's existance early!

Xbox 360 division revenue slumps 21 percent

That won't help either.

Yes they are still failing just as badly. Nothing has changed so no reason to believe it won't continue.

That's because much of the media is in the back pockets and/or feel threatened if they do. That's why even so called "PS3" gaming sites constantly spin the stories in a negative way. The PS3 could cure 9 of the top 10 types of cancers and they would spend the whole article talking about how they FAILED to cure cancer and how they have let every one down and didn't deliver on their (fictional) promise.
