According to the Minnesota Star Tribune Peterson is at the team's Winter Park practice facility. Practice starts at 11:00 Central time so it should be known soon if it's true that he's at the facility and if he's practicing.

From an ESPN reporter:

Adrian Peterson is in Eden Prairie and will be at practice today.

Sioux Falls PD will not confirm father's identity. "We're basically surrounding our investigation on the injuries to this child."

Joseph Patterson is not the father of the two-year-old boy, police spokesman says.

Child is still in critical condition; injuries are to his head.

Sioux Falls PD has been in contact with parents. Asked if father is Peterson, county attorney says he's not in position to discuss.

The Patriots Reportedly Gave Rob Gronkowski An Unnecessary Arm Surgery, And That's Why He's Still Injured

According to a report from Mike Petraglia of WEEI, the entire thing could have avoided if the team let the break heal on its own.

Petraglia reports that the team first performed surgery on the tight end last fall in hopes that he could be back for the 2012 playoffs. Gronkowski came back in Week 17 and re-broke the same arm, requiring another surgery. After two more surgeries to deal with an infection, he has still yet to step onto the field in 2013.

If this is true, it's a possible explanation for an earlier report that Gronkowski's "inner circle" didn't want him playing until Week 6, no matter what the team doctors said.

Gronkowski's status for this Sunday is still up in the air.

It's clear that the Patriots need him. Tom Brady's historic streak of games with at least one touchdown pass ended last week in a 13-6 loss to Cincinnati. While the Pats are still one of the top teams in the league, they're still a tier below Denver and Seattle without weapons like Gronkowski on the perimeter.

Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old son—not Adrian Peterson Jr., but a formerly "secret" child—is "not expected to survive his injuries," and could be taken off life support tonight, City Pages reports. On Wednesday, the Sioux Falls boy was allegedly beaten by his mother's boyfriend, Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, who has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on an infant.

According to a reporter covering the story, the initial confusion surrounding the boy's identity was due to the fact that not even Adrian Peterson is sure the child is his, though Peterson's father later would later describe the boy as a grandson.

A reporter whose own outlet isn't going with the story yet tells us this is a separate child, one not publicly known. The mother is a Sioux Falls woman who moved from the Twin Cities soon after the child was born, and believes the boy might be Peterson's, though no paternity test was done. (City Pages claims one was conducted recently.) The reporter also says Peterson has no contact with the woman or the child.
