I am thinking of picking up the UK Steelbook, checking it out it says it is Region Free which is great and I just love the artwork on it. I got the Target Exclusive for Christmas last year, but it would be great to have the Steelbook as well

Update:

My bad, the Steelbook I found was the Canada version, all the same I am picking it up.

Chip75, Thank you for this, I really appreciate the help. Though I have to ask, what is the difference between the UK Steelbook and the Canada Steelbook? I'm just curious because I don't know that much about this sort of thing...

PS: Which version of the Amazing Spider-Man Steelbook is this?

As DJJez posted it's the Futureshop Exclusive. I would say the difference between the UK HMV Exclusive and it are minimal. The Canadian one has three discs (2 BDs & 1 DVD), while the HMV UK one just has 2 BDs and a UK UV code. I doubt there's any difference in artwork but I've only seen the UK one in person.

Thank you both, I appreciate all the help you have given me!

I actually wrote to them about it a while back, they said that it doesn't come with one anymore. But really, who knows, I guess you could still get lucky, even if it's not very likely.

I myself ended up buying the "Mastered in 4K" edition from Amazon though, and that came with a slip

How long ago was that? And you got a pic of the slip?

It's not expensive from the US but it's available from our Amazon too. I haven't seen the UK ones without slips. They're usually completely sealed and don't slip off.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the standard blu (not the mastered in 4K release) in the 2 for £12 section at Asda, and it definitely had a slipcover under the wrapping as chip said. It is the really nice embossed slip too. Might be worth calling up your local Asda and seeing if they have any in stock, then at least you can get one that hasn't been damaged in the post.

I don't think I've seen the original release without a slip. It's usually in one of the supermarkets for about £7. As discorocs said it's rather nice too. I've got the Blockbuster Exclusive and it's got a plain-flat front and not the intricate embossing that the standard release has. The Spider-Man 3 DVD was nice, it had some really deep embossing on Spidey's suit!

Tesco have it in their budget chart for £7. The ones in my store looked dodgy. One was a reseal the other opened with a sealed case underneath, certainly not factory fresh!
