What HD Goofnut said, but I will add one of my all-time favorite westerns: The Cheyenne Social Club.

Would love to see The Shootist on Blu-Ray. James Stewart and John Wayne is a great pair, and it was Wayne's last movie if I remember correctly.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington would be great too.

I'd like The Shootist as well, but this always sat more like a John Wayne film with me. I'd buy it for sure, but I'll wait for an eventual U.S. release.

Yeah Wayne is definitely the star, but still enjoyed seeing Stewart in it. He wasn't in many movies after that anyway.

I'm looking for Jimmy Stewart's version of The Flight of the Phoenix on Blu and a region free version of Anatomy of a Murder...

I want US releases of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence(LISTEN UP, PARAMOUNT) as well as You Can't Take It With You and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington the most. If I could only have one, it would be Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

I don't understand how a movie with 11 Academy Award nominations and 1 win hasn't had any news of a release but hopefully we'll hear something before long. Criterion possibly?

I'm hoping for all of the Mann/Stewart westerns. I'm not picky. Just all of them.

I love all of them. Some of the greatest westerns of all time, and they were different than the usual ones at the time.

Me too! But if I had to pick just one, it would have to be, Bend Of The River.

I've seen all the films in the Universal James Stewart Western Box DVD in HD on the telly (in the UK), & they all looked very nice. They just need a Blu-ray release.

I was just thinking that, Criterion is who I would guess as well. Hopefully not too far from now.

I would add Winchester 73 and Destry Rides Again. W73 is a classic and Destry is just plain fun with Marlene Dietrich.

I have TMWSLV from UK and am enjoying it very much.

Stewart is my favorite actor.

Yeah, I'd be the one who posted it, so definitely to me.

Btw, great thread. Not enough appreciation to specific actors' catalogs.

I hate it when people turn a thread into a wishlist...but that being said...

I can't believe that STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND isn't on Blu-ray.
