Sweden Star Wars: Threads of Destiny (Fan Film)

[Author's Note: I was not aware of where to put this and since there was no 'fan creations' forum I thought it'd be okay here until someone put it in its proper place so please feel free to do so but until there, well there you go.]

This thread is for the Fan Made Independent film Star Wars: Threads of Destiny. It is directed by Swedish film maker Rasmus Tirzitis and the story and first draft script was written by yours truly, me.

It was filmed in Sweden and features, naturally, an all Swedish cast. The dialogue in the film however will be spoken in English.

94 years after ”The Battle of Yavin, the New Republic has been resurrected and democracy once again rules the galaxy. The Jedi Order is reestablished on the planet Yavin 4, and has continued to train new Jedi Knights in the art of peace and justice. But all is not peaceful in this new world. With the fall of the Dark Empire, the ancient Skenvi Empire now comes out of the shadow to make its move.

The Skenvi now opposes the New Republic for control over the galaxy with its aggressively growing empire. The Skenvi seeks to seize control of all the galaxies most valuable resources to cripple its enemies. And if a planet refuses to join them, they have been known to take very aggressive actions.

Caught in between this struggle over the fate of the galaxy is the little planet of Coreign. The planet possesses a very powerful resource that would greatly favor the side that has access to if an intergalactic war was to emerge.

In its eagerness to gain access to Coreigns resources, the Skenvi Empire sends its most infamous negotiator, Lord Siege. He is a man who is known throughout the galaxy for seeing that the Skenvi Empire gets what it wants by all means necessary. The New Republic sends two of its Jedi ambassadors, Master Soran Darr and his padawan, Raven Darkham.

Well, the acting in that trailer is just as good as the acting in the prequels.

Hehe...I suppose in a way that's a good thing...though I don't know if I should be worried or not.

Haha. As a Swede, the dialect really feels painfully out of place and comical. As a fan-project, it does look quite ambitious though.

I'm a huge SW fan, so I'll make sure to check this out at home (at work now) and leave some feedback. Cheers.

ugh. I hate fan films.

I'm sure they're fun to make and show to people you know, but mostly theyre just embarrassingly awful and should not be put out for the whole world to watch and mock.

Only took until 07:30 for the obligatory 'bumping into a goofy awkward robot' a'la prequels. *turns it off*

I jumped around and watched a minute or two here and there. Yup, it's awful.

Wow, that's some harsh criticism guys. I'm sure a lot of work went into this.

I'm sure it did. And for an amateur effort the effects and such are somewhat impressive (though still amateurish).

HOWEVER, if you're going to put something out there for the world to see, you can't say "comment on this, but only if you love it and want to praise it and think it's awesome!" No, people will judge your work, for better or worse. Fan film is no different than a studio film in that you put it out there you will receive honest feedback... both positive and negative.

Lke i said before, fan films are no doubt fun to make and watch with friends, but as far as the rest of the world is concerned, they are often painfully bad to watch.

What's worse is that someone actually put work into this. In fact, what might be even worse than that is someone actually managing to sit through it. This thing is awful. I made it about 7 minutes in and shut it off (And I feel ashamed to admit that). It sucks...bad.

You guys are more than open to your opinions. Not everyone is going to be satisfied with the end results, Fan Film or Professional. Thank you for taking the time to even give it a shot, that means something.

The CG is actually shockingly good for a fan film...
