UCF ended up about where I figured - #21 in the AP poll. Coaches poll put them at #25. The coaches have Northern Illinois (with a strength of schedule 122nd out of 124 in D1) ahead of UCF.

A joke. I knew we would get no respect even though our team has played hard this year.

Yeah, I just checked NIU's schedule, and it's a complete joke. Out of the seven wins they have only two have been true blowouts. Every other game was pretty close, against relatively crappy teams no less. And the rest of their schedule is against more cupcake opposition.

Did anybody else know that the Sagarin Ratings includes FCS teams? 3 of the top 10 are FCS schools:

Florida State
Alabama
Missouri
*Bethune-Cookman
Oregon
Northern Illinois (have fun with that one, guys)
*Fordham
Oregon State
Virginia Tech
*Coastal Carolina

I'd love to hear the voters justify ranking Louisville (significantly) higher than UCF in both the AP and Coaches poll. UCF won at Louisville, has another quality win at Penn State, and their only loss was by 3 against a ranked South Carolina team. Louisville's best win is a home win against a mediocre Rutgers team.

LOL. Bethune-Cookman is a tiny FCS historically black college in my city. They're decent for an FCS program, but not that great. I guess they're in that ranking because they played a few FBS teams - Florida St. and FIU. Some of these computer rankings are beyond laughable.

Yeah, they beat FIU and got destroyed (actually, almost as close as Clemson) by FSU. Fordham has only played Temple from FBS (30-29 win) and Coastal Carolina has played nobody. CC is also the highest in the FCS rankings, at #6. They also took a last minute TD and 2-point conversion, and double OT to beat Liberty yesterday, 55-52.

wow. Missouri and Baylor in the top 10 nice to see different teams in the top 10. I like variety

if Fresno State keeps winning, they could theoretically get into the top 10 since most of the teams above them still have to play each other. now that would be something!

We might get stuck with Fresno St. AND Northern Illinois in BCS games.

Won't happen. Only 1 non-AQ team is guaranteed a berth regardless of how high a second team may be rated, and no BCS bowl game would ever take a non-AQ team if they weren't forced to because non-AQ teams usually get low TV ratings.

FSU number 2 in the BCS. I would love to see how we would match up against Bama. Still a lot of season left I hope we can keep it up and stay healthy.

FSU couldn't match that SEC speed. That big receiver y'all have is a damn beast! That guy is a freak. I do think after hearing the post game interview with Jameis that he sounds like he enjoys the company of other dudes. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't think I ever said congrats to you either. Congrats! We have nothing left to play for and I think losing at Maryland could happen this week too.

Yeah Kelvin Benjamin is a beast, he is coming alone pretty good in his second season because he was awful last year at running his routes. Lol a lot of people have been making fun of him after the interview.

I assume if say Bama, Oregon, Ohio St. and FSU all ended the season undefeated the final BCS standings would be.

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. FSU
4. Ohio St.

Of course I'm sure things will shake out and there won't be more than two BCS conference undefeated teams anyway.

Why would Oregon finish ahead of FSU? FSU would have wins over 2 top 10 teams, both of which might be 1 loss (well 2 for Miami if they play in title game).

Because Oregon will improve it's strength of schedule going forward. Florida St. won't. FSU has Miami and a mediocre at best Florida team left. Oregon has UCLA, Stanford and Oregon St. Given the two teams have only a razor thin margin separating each other in the BCS rankings (because of the computers) I would think remaining SOS would put Oregon over the top.

Yeah I agree. I wouldn't be mad if it turn out like that. More disappointed then mad because Oregon would deserve to be there too. It would be great if the playoff system was this season.

RIP Don James. The man who built the Washington football program passed away today at 80. Oddly enough the national championship he won as Huskies coach in 1991 was shared with Miami, his own alma mater. He was a QB for the Canes in the 1950's. That 1991 Washington team was probably one of the best college football teams of all-time.

I'm glad we're past the days of "shared titles" even if GT's last championship was a shared one (with Colorado in 1990).
