Even if Image does eventually release Hellgate and The Stuff, and are able to utilize the same transfers, knowing the label's spotty history there will doubtless be compression/encode issues, and in any case zero extras.

I hope Scream gets their hands on Phantom of the Paradise , The Stuff, Hell Comes to Frogtown and Hell Gate before Arrow's release of these titles because I'd rather support Scream but Arrow don't mess around. The other day, I ordered Arrow's blurays of Time Bandits and Big Trouble in Little China. Phantom of the Paradise is a title I don't think I'll be able to wait on.

None of that will happen.

Except maybe Phantom. And that's a very small maybe.
Especially in time for Arrow's releases.

They obviously didn't get the Anchor Bay extras from their "Night of the Demons" disc, they just posted on Facebook about how they did a new solo Linnea interview. Don't care about the old interview, but the old commentary atleast had some different people on it, the only person carried over onto the new commentary is the director, I believe.

"Shout!/Scream" is basically trying to duplicate the extras that already existed on Anchor Bay's disc, but they're new and updated.

I would like both Phantasm and Phantom of the Paradise, namely the latter. PotP is in my top 10 favorite movies ever. I would prefer if they got Phantasm I, III, and IV, as I already have the first and tend to not double dip. If a better version comes out, I usually just stick with the one I have.

I'm surprised you didn't notice that the copy of The Stuff we have on DVD in my store is the Image release.

I waited almost a year to import Re-Animator, one of my favorites, rather than give Image any money for their half-assed release. I'll just wait for Arrow's release.

Well let's hope Scream gets their hands on Arrow's transfer of The People Under the Stairs before Image does then...

Here's to hoping Arrow can dig out more of the old New World released stuff, especially something like Dead Heat, so I can kick my Image Blu out my window.

If were talking Hammer, gimme Hound of the Baskervilles first.

Why would Image get it? That makes no sense, unless they make a deal with Universal. Image doesn't just get Arrow stuff. Arow and Image both have deals with Lakeshore, the company that owns The Stuff, Hellgate, and the other titles from New World...

We know that Scream CAN at least get Quatermass Xperiment, being with MGM.

It seems like Millenium would be the best bet for 2&3, as they hold the Hammer films that Anchor Bay once did.

To be fair, Universal and Image used to have a deal. They put out the original releases of Matinee, Demon Knight, etc.

Yeah. The third title from the '80s IS Sleepaway Camp, in my view.

This was posted on Facebook when asked about it:

Also, I'm going to a Halloween party on Saturday as a Scream Factory character. Darkman. I'll post a picture Sunday night of my costume, with my poster in the background and my trilogy set in my bandaged hand.

I wanted to go to the party I will be attending as a Scream Factory character as well but the host won't allow it. Apparently The Incredible Melting Man can get a bit messy...who knew

I just wish Scream Factory (or whoever handles their store) would send an e-mail if my stuff is backordered instead of making me paranoid the order didn't go through.

Waiting on The Howling and Q: The Winged Serpent I guess. Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so amped up to watch them!
