For those excited about Slumber Party Massacre, Scorpion seems to have been teasing Sorority House Massacre!!

Walt said they've been prepping another "Sorority" movie, in addititon to House on Sorority Row, on blu-ray. And they also posted a picture of Nicole Rio, doing an interview for "an upcoming release".

So, hopefully, very soon, we'll have the ENTIRE franchise on blu-ray, exclusing one or two spinoffs . Lol.

I just totally forgot but I had bought Dark Angel during that sale weeks ago and have never even received a shipping notice. They said it was on backorder but my God it's been like 3 weeks now.

What a bummer! It has gotten less and less popular here in the states as well...when I was a kid in the 80's/90's the streets would be filled with kids/trick or treaters but over the past decade the streets at least in my areas have been pretty bare and it seems as if that same Halloween spirit just isn't there anymore.

I disagree.
If anything, Halloween has become more popular, nor just in America but globally.

I like in a major city, but still, when I lived in a smaller city/suburb, Halloween was a blast every year. You're just not looking hard enough!

It's lessened in popularity where I live too. Hardly anyone puts lights up, and not nearly as many kids or people go trick or treating. Halloween doesn't feel like it used to.

Yeah we had like 5 kids come to the door last year and I had bought a ton of candy that I had to eat myself It seems as everyone is scared to let their kids go to strangers doors and the local news is always throwing out these warnings for "How to keep your kids safe this Halloween" and bringing up the few bad incidents over the past years. They can't my fun anyway from me through...I will still be sitting there on my couch watching Halloween and Halloween 2

Let me post some pics from this Halloween, if I make it out.
I'm suppossed to see John Carpenter's Halloween in theaters, so I might miss it.

It will blow your mind. Lol. Shoulder to shoulder packed for about 6 blocks where I live. (And that's just one of the big must-hits). Adults and kids trick r treating. But almost everyone goes to parties too, just after the candy.

Yeah but that is because you live in the South...everyone is much more chill and friendly down there. I was in Atlanta 2 years ago and even a big city like that still more chill then the suburbs of NY.

It all depends on the neighborhoods. I get maybe 5-10 kids/year, half of which are probably far too old to still be trick-or-treating, but I live in an unincorporated neighborhood that has few streetlights and no sidewalks. I have a feeling most of the trick-or-treating around here is going on in the more affluent and tight-knit neighborhoods or in community centers.

This company is really starting to piss me off, releasing DVD-Rs of copywritten movies. If we have to follow the rules, why don't they?

Well there is no tradition of celebrating it here so it makes sense..

I was lucky enough to live in the US (the South) for a year where I got to experience American Halloween! No trick or treaters but the houses were decorated and my host family all got together and watched horror movies etc.. Also went to a Halloween party with very colorful synthetic foods It was a good time for sure!

I haven't seen any of the Sorority House Massacre movies but aren't they basically just inferior rip-offs of the Slumber Party Massacre movies?

Sidenote: Definitely picking up House on Sorority Row on blu. I'm not sure about the Slumber blu yet because I already own the dvd trilogy.

Halloween around here is really lame. A lot of towns even here in the south have strict ordinances about what time trick-or-treating can go on until (usually has to be over by 6:30 or 7 whereas when I was a kid, we didn't get back until almost 10), what ages you can wear masks, etc. Most people here don't let their kids trick or treat anymore. They get their churches or community centers to do "trunk or treats" which is no fun and stupid in my opinion. However, people love to decorate their houses here. I doubt the day will even be celebrated in America in 50 years.

Just asking, as I took some crap from a friend for it the other day. Who are your favorite Colonial Marines from Aliens? Mine are Hudson and, to a lesser degree, Vasquez.

If anything the first Sorority is more of a rip-off of Halloween. It's a good bit of slasher fun.

I was never thrilled with SHM 2, however.
