Glad it worked out. They can be so ... inconsistent. To some extent, the longer you've been with them and the more you've spent, the more cooperative they are. Looks like they're still asking for $20 for the standard Hobbit and $25 for the EE - no response to all those "lower price" submissions. BB's $25 as well.

I assume you're talking about the basic 3D EE, at best $29.99...most likely $34.99. That's my guess.

I shudder to think at all that would be lost in The Hobbit going to DVD resolution and audio quality...I mean if you have no choice I get it, but willingly?

Does anyone know for certain whether or not $20 will be the in-store price on launch day? Or is it just the on-line price?

I'd like to pick it up day one rather than risk it coming later through delivery.
