Hot Fuzz - Blu-ray Forum

Saw this movie yesterday and it was the best comedy this year by far IMO.
I noticed the fan bois at avms. com boasting about how Universal will be distributing this eventual U.S. release.

Rouge Pictures made this one in the U.K....so does anyone happen to know who the distributer will be in the U.K...as far as a possible BD release ?

I am going to want to buy this one...but will definitely not buy it if its an hd dvd release in the U.S?

if some other company hase the rights in the uk and if the disc dose not have region doding then it could be one of those movies you just ahve to import

Rouge Pictures are part of NBC Universal.
Seem's the only movie they have in Hi Def is Unleashed.. which is ofc only on HD-DVD.

So I would say, the DUD lads are getting the good end of the deal on this one.. and it will have to be a SD DVD purchase.. or a long wait

no hot fuzz on blu-ray its a universal title so will hd dvd exclusive and until universal see their senses

Well if you want some fuzzy hotness, you can order your copy off Amazon.co.uk. This title is already on DVD over there. And get this: it's a 2-disc set! Click here for a direct link.

If you have a region-free DVD player, get the UK version. The UK version of Shaun of The Dead is also more feature packed than the US version.

Click here. Let's hope in South East Asia they get released on BD.

My UK dvd should arrive anytime. I couldn't wait for July 31 for the US dvd release
and considering Shaun of the Dead was Universal... well, you know.

I saw this one to and really hated it. The best comedy for me this year is unfortunately also a Universal title that goes by the name of 'Knocked Up'.

The Blu Rays of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead on amazon.co.jp are listed as 1.78:1 and also have an extra note saying 16:9. Blu-ray.com also lists the Japan Shaun of the Dead as 1.78:1.

Does anyone here own these releases and can comment on whether that's a misinformation? (it's been known to happen)

Sorry for posting in General, I couldn't find a subforum for Japanese Blu Rays.
