What would you do with 1TB - PS4 or PS3?

I'm on 8 meg DSL, which means I get 6 tops, so the constant download and reinstall would be frustrating and a potential dealbreaker. I love how the XB1 will allow you to plug in a USB3.0 HDD and isntall & run directly from there, I'm really hoping the PS4 does that in the future with one of their updates, as that would alleviate this huge concern.

I would honestly rather that than swapping internal HDDs, not sure if it would be cheaper but would be a LOT more convenient. I really don't want to get in the business of shifting data around hard drives so I can play a game, if I throw something on an external I want to run it from there and not just use it for storage.
