The Client List has been cancelled:

Multiple sources report that The Client List has been cancelled by Lifetime after two seasons. Though the show delivered strong ratings, allegedly star and producer Jennifer Love Hewitt and the network clashed over the future creative direction of the series.

I knew this thread being posted in wasn't going to be good. Can't say I'm surprised since they were saying they weren't agreeing on how to continue the show.

I guess it's no fun when even hooker, prostitutes, call girls go off and get themselves pregnant. I didn't think the show would keep going because there's only so much you could do with this series. I watched the first season, only due to some minor interest (there was nothing else on).

Her being pregnant did cause issues for the show considering what it is, but the bigger issue is that she wanted Brian Hallisay (Kyle), her fiancé, to have a bigger part in the show because of that. They couldn't agree on that which ended up getting the show cancelled.

It definitely could have continued if that wasn't an issue, and it ended on a cliffhanger too.

We're seeing more and more of this nepotism with actors and actresses using their celebrity status to get their family members work on the movies and the TV shows that they appear in. Actors and Actresses think they're irreplaceable and they really aren't.

It would be one thing if she wanted the guy on the show and he wasn't but he was already on the show.

Being the star & Executive Producer doesn't go very for these days.

She just wanted him to have a bigger role and write the pregnancy into the show, but they didn't want that. Which in a way I can understand considering how it was between them and what the show's about. I don't think it was anything personally against him, it's just not where they wanted the show to go.
